ACTIVITIES

FISHING

Cast your pole off any one of our 3-docks to catch your prize winner! There are also pockets along the shoreline of the southern arm of the lake that offers good weed and lily pad cover, just the thing to entice the large and smallmouth bass. There is a variety of fish in Tee Lake, such as walleye, bass, bluegill, crappie, perch, pike, panfish and sunfish. Tee lake Resort has a small fish cleaning house on property available for your convenience. Fishing licenses & bait are available for purchase at the local stores located a short 5-minute drive into town.

BOATING

We have two kayaks, two paddle boards and four rowboats to share on a first-come-first-serve basis. We provide life jackets for each passenger. The DNR funds the lake sheriff who will check your boat for life jackets. Yes, you are welcome to bring your own boat. You can also bring your own motor & seats for our rowboats. They can handle motors up to 6 H.P. as well as electric motors.

Perhaps propelling down the Au Sable River is a fun escape for you. Get away from it all and exercise your navigational skills by canoeing, kayaking or tubing your way through the waters. Whether you want to navigate or simply cruise, the opportunity for so much fun is here for you. Maneuver your craft or free-float on an inflatable inner tube and let the river current safely carry you away from it all. Visit Parmalee Trading Post for more info.

SWIMMING

Fun for all ages! Do a few laps from dock to dock or swim out to the swim platform and soak up some fun! Then, come together for a game of water volleyball with a clear sandy bottom. Bring your favorite raft and float your cares away.

CAMPFIRE

Bring your stories, guitars and poetry, along with your marshmallows, graham crackers and Hershey bars, for a good ol' fashioned party around the fire. About firewood... Michigan has established a law which makes transporting firewood from one area to another area illegal due to insects & disease. Firewood is for sale in town.

HIKING

Take advantage of the serene outdoors and hike in the natural environments of Michigan's forests. Buttles Trail is located 5-miles north of Tee Lake Resort on Buttles Road. This trail is a 7-mile hike on a single track. Off the path are several beautiful lakes. It curves around and heads back to the trailhead. A great trail for a newbie or a pro. Also, Hartwick Pines State Park has a mile-long paved path that begins at the Michigan Forest Visitor Center. It includes virgin white pines and a reconstructed logging camp that provides a fascinating look at lumberjacks. AuSable River Trail is a 3-mile trail featuring two crossings of the East Branch of the AuSable River, stands of virgin timber and sixteen interpretive posts that correspond to descriptions in the park's brochure. A little bit of climbing is involved and a few wet spots must be crossed, but overall the trail is not difficult and provides a 2-hour escape.
